Apply for Admission to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

Steps for Admission toTAMU-CC

  1. Complete and submit a Common Application for Admission to Texas Public Universities including any required documents such as transcripts or ACT/SAT/TASP scores.
  2. If transferring in courses, have an official transcript sent to TAMU-CC. A minimal GPA of 3.0 (4 point system) for the last 60 hours is required for admission to the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. NOTE: No courses with grades of "D" or "F" are accepted for transfer.
  3. Complete prerequisites for school of nursing (science courses must have been completed within seven years of date of admission) and core curriculum requirements for TAMU-CC or an accredited Texas college/university.
  4. Complete and submit the online Application to College of Nursing at TAMU-CC .

Following Admission:
Evidence of immunizations (MMR, D/T, varicella, annual TB testing, Hep B, Hep A) status
Current CPR-BCLS for American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Providers card

Background check
Professional liability

Please Note: Admission to the University does not constitute admission to the nursing program. You must complete an application to the School of Nursing and be accepted before entering eLine. Prerequisites for TAMU-CC School of Nursing

*must be a junior lever course Total 32

NOTE: Sciences must have been taken within 7 years.

Caution! If you plan to take an equivalent course at a university other than Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and transfer the credits, you need to ensure that the course meets TAMU-CC requirements. For a description of the course, see the TAMU-CC Undergraduate Catalog (Note: Look under the department that offers the course. For example, look for the A&P course description in the Science and Technology section under Biology.) You can also contact an advisor at your institution or contact the eLine Advisor for assistance.

When requesting the transfer of credits, an official transcript must be provided. A detailed course description may also be requested.
